Successfully campaigned for Fossil Fuel Divestment in the city of Chicago

Largely due to 350 Chicago’s outreach and advocacy efforts, Chicago passed an ordinance on March 21st, 2022, divesting $70 million dollars of fossil fuel investments from the City’s operational budget


Formed the Climate Safe Pensions Illinois (CSPI) coalition with the Third Act Illinois and Climate Reality Project Chicago to advocate for fossil fuel divestment in Illinois


Led a campaign that resulted in state legislators introducing the Fossil Fuel Divestment Act


Led the Chicago actions of nationally-coordinated campaigns, including Fossil Free Federal Reserve and People vs. Fossil Fuels


Launched the Utility Accountability Campaign with 350 Network Council to fight Investor Owned Utilities’ efforts to block the clean energy transition and to advocate for clean, affordable, reliable, and safe energy for all


Joined the Utility Transparency Coalition, promoting reform of utilities in Illinois so that utilities stop charging ratepayers for their lobbying activities


Participated in the Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition (ICJC) to successfully advocate for a climate policy agenda that was passed in the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act

Continue to support ICJC in advocating for rapid decarbonization and clean energy policies to mitigate the climate crisis
