What is a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)?
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a type of giving program that combines favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to support your favorite non-profits.
DAFs are managed by sponsoring organizations, such as community foundations or financial institutions like Ameriprise, Fidelity, Schwab, and Vanguard. They offer a convenient and flexible way to support charitable causes, by allowing donors to make contributions, potentially grow their funds through investment, and recommend donations to eligible nonprofits at a time that works for them.
