No Kings Protest and Adopt a Block Recap
350 Chicago partnered with Third Act Illinois and the Sierra Club to host an Adopt a Block during the No Kings Action. We were positioned between Monroe and Madison streets.
We had so much fun holding up our signs and banners, watching the protestors file by, our Burma Shave Style signs received plenty of attention, especially the sign with the QR code to gain petition signatures for the Clean And Reliable Grid Act and the Transit Bill in Springfield.
The crowning achievement was the Flash Mob Dancer led by our friends at Third Act and choreographer Heidi. Marchers loved the energy and our dancers even made it big on social media with ex CNN host Don Lemon and on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker gave an impassioned speech before the march.
“These are not abstractions. These are people who pay taxes, own businesses, teach our children, care for our elderly and contribute to the fabric of our society. This is us. All of us.”
It’s estimated that a crowd of 200,000 to 250,000 attendees marched through Chicago.
